Cheers, 2012!

Well, 2012.
It's been real, it's been fun; and you have had your moments of real fun.
But, thank the good Lord above that you are over and done with.
Sashay away now, your fifteen minutes (actually 365 days) of fame is over.

I am not going to go through every little spec of my past year, because that would not only bore you, but I would probably fall alseep with drool all over the keyboard if I had to do that. As I always state, I am not the most interesting person on the face of the planet; sue me! But, I will just briefly list a few of the cool things that happened this year.

Let's start with I got accepted into the college that I wanted to get into (even though it's a state college and anyone who can inhale and exhale can get accepeted to).  I also got scholarship money for being a fabulicious human being (AKA: for being an artsy farsty girl who liked to be in the drama club). I also flipping graduated, holla holla! Among other things, I also turned 18, worked crazy hours, met amazing people, had many expensive dinners and spent way too much money on nail polish. I started and finished my first semester of college and survived another crazy two weeks of holiday hours at work. Yep, 2012. You weren't all that shabby.

Don't let my little upper paragraph fool you. I did a lot of things in 2012, I just can't even begin to talk about all the random crap I have done that I loved, but I don't want to write all that and you probably don't wanna read it. So, I will leave that as that. So, there!

Speaking of which, 2013.
You better be freaking good, because if not, we have some major beef.

Now now. Here comes that time in the post where I talk about my new years resolutions.
I am not one of those people who think they are pointless, it's all about how serious you are going to take them. I believe in 2013 bucketlists or things you want to accomplish. So, I guess I will share some of mine.

1. Eat healthier & exercise; I actually really need to do this for my health, to keep all weird family medical things away. So, I am taking this one very serious, and I am going to try my best to lose just about 10 pounds, if that's at all possible.

2. Meet new people; I am usually outgoing, but to new people I am shy. Go figure. So, I want to try to talk to new people and make new friends on campus, so I am not the loner girl who carries around her laptop everywhere because she has no friends. #bloggerlife

3. Work on procrastination; notice how I didn't say stop. I just know that's impossible, but I am going to try my best to not be that girl who is working on that five page paper at midnight when it's due at 8 AM. I would have less stress and need less coffee. (though I would never pass up a coffee!)

Goodbye 2012!
It was nice knowing ya.
Oh, and we are never ever getting back together.
Like, ever.

It's Friday, Friday, I really have to go to work on Friday.

^ Because Glee rocks this song tens times harder ^

Happy Friday, kittykats.
For all of you wonderful people who got this week off and is enjoying this post by sitting down at around 10 AM, drinking a cup of coffee and just relaxing: I envy the crap out of you.
I have to work. And work some more. And maybe when I am done, work again.
The pattern then repeats itself all weekend until New Years Eve, which I work work and hopefully get out early. #holla

Well, since everyone seems to be in a bloggy schlump this week, and we all just kinda suck at making posts, I decided to jump on the sucky post bandwagon and be the super-duperest laziest girl ever and be prompted by doing Friday Letters, without doing the link-up. Cause that makes me a boss.

Dear Wallet, I am sorry that I have not been feeding you as often as I should. But just you wait, little bugger, I have some nice big green slabs of wonderfulness coming your way! You will be full, or atleast fed, in just a little while.

Dear Christmas, I am so glad that you are over.

Dear Holiday Hours, You freaking suck, you little fun sucker! I have no life and I haven't worn real clothes in weeks because of you. I hate you and I wish that you would leave. Thank God it's almost the New Year and I can go back to my regularly scheduled hours. You leave me with extra money and no way to use any of it because you take up all my free time. Yeah, I hate you a lot, pal.

Dear Tall Person, Thanks for always being so kind and caring. Oh, and gracious. Yeah, that's a quality you don't get from most people. So, four for you for just being totes rad. Oh yeah, and for giving the most awkward hugs ever. Yup, they are awkward, but they are you.

Dear Ralph Lauren Bracelet, Goodness I love you so much but WHY MUST YOU BE A PAIN TO PUT ON EVERY MORNING?!!?

Dear Coffee, Hey buddy, thanks for never abandoning me. You always have my back no matter what it is greatly appreciated. You are hot when I need you, and nice and ice cold when I need you. You know exactly what I want. You are always so understanding and forgiving.

Dear Readers, Sorry I suck lately at blog posts, but my life is super un-interesante at the moment, but things should be picking up when my good old friend Holiday Hours leaves town. But, I love you guys for putting up with me through all of this. You da, you da best.

Holiday Regrets, but not really.

Well guys, the holidays are over, and I am sure some of us have a few regrets.
So, I am going to admit all the things that I am moderately ashamed of.
But, you know. I am going all Katy Perry on this: no regrets, just love.

It's totally okay to....

1. Eat Christmas cookies like it's my job.
I don't even care if anyone was judging me as I kept sticking my hand into the tray of cookies and picked out all of the peanut butter balls and the peanut butter blossoms. They are yummy and I don't care what people say, I am in love with them. (yes, I quote Leona Lewis, haters gonna hate)
I am pretty sure that I probably looked like a fat slobone eating all the cookies, but somebody needs to eat them.

2. Not having a gift for someone even though they give you one.
I am usually so on top of gifts and I never forget anyone, but sometimes people sneak up on you like a ninja and call you over alone and give you something and you have absolutely no idea what to do with but try to contain your face of shock and say "thaaaank...you....?"

3. Over-do gifts for your besties.
Again, I like giving gifts. So, I like to see my friends faces when I give them gifts. When I gave my best friend Michele her Christmas gift I loved seeing her open it because I litereally bought her so much stuff, I couldn't stop buying her things. I pulled out all the stops. I also put a lot of thought into things I give. One of my friends drives a gray pick-up truck, so I bought him a mini match box truck and painted it gray. He loved it. Oh yeah, I am that good. I just like to show the people I love in my life that I do indeed love them (even though I may insult them on the daily, ngl)

4. Pretend to like gifts from family.
My family either hits the nail on the head with gifts, or totally have an epic fail moment. This Christmas, was a little but of both. I got $30 bucks worth of Dunkin and a nice check, but everything else was just eh. But, you know you have to make it seem like you love it and make it seem like you just recieved a unicorn.

5. Listening to "real" music on Christmas.
Wouldn't you think that on Christmas you would actually want to listen to Christmas music, but on the drive to my Nana's house I popped in my new XTina CD and was jamming hardcore. I was so freaking sick of Christmas music, I would strangle even Michael Buble if I heard any type of Christmas melody come out of his mouth on Christmas day. I was having a grand old time screaming "ALL IIII WANNNAAAA DOOOO ISSS LOVEE YAAA BODDYYY OHOOOHHOOOHHHOOOOHHHHH!!"

So, Christmas is over. Now what?

Well, since I haven't really talked about my ever-so exciting life in a while, I decided that a post-Christmas post would be moderately interesting.

Over the weekend I got together with a few of my best friends who I either haven't seen in a while or at all in the past few months, so that we could get together for the holiday. Being in colleges all over really don't help the friendship bonding. So, we all went out to a dinner just to celebrate Christmas and enjoy the food and company, rather than spending money on stupid gifts that you feel obligated to buy. We had a great dinner, and a fun time being together again.

first: lindsey and i // second: all of us

Sunday I had the production of the Christmas play that I have been working on being performed at my church. Your homegirl here wrote and directed the entire sha-bang. From soup to nuts, baby. I was so proud of how it turned out and I am glad that all of our hard work paid off. (along with all of my panic attacks and OCD moments)

Christmas Eve was just a whole bunch of frustration. Myself, along with my co-workers were totally frustrated and annoyed at the fact that we were working and it was our third line-out-the-door kind of day. Literally. But, I did get to give Michele her Christmas gift which she loved, yay! And I also got to give other gifts to my favorite boys at work. They are just so freakin' cute, you would have sworn I gave them a puppy. But, once the day was over, I got to go home (after being the last one to leave, tyvm) and went to church and then out to dinner with my parents.

You thought that I was kidding about the line out the door, huh?

But, there is always one thing that puts a smile on my face: opening presents on Christmas morning.
Now, you may be wondering to yourself, did Santa read my blog and get me everything I wanted?
Pretty much, I can say so.
Go Santa! Four for you, Santa!
first: michael kors wallet // second: gift cards from family & friends // third: vs bodyspray
fourth: glitter boat shoes // fifth: vs yoga pants & yoga underwear // sixth: vera wang flats
seventh: kate spade iphone case // eigth: alex and ani's // ninth: taylor swift items

Among other things, these were a few of my favorite gifts that I recieved this Christmas.
So, thanks bunches Santa. You done did good, fat man.

And here is how I spent my afternoon:

Then, I fell into a Christmas cookie coma.
The End.

Obligatory Christmas Post.

Because my life is crazy busy and I have so much going on at once until the new year happens.
Ya know, like waiting on undeserving customers at 8 AM who are yelling at me about their pasta.
I wanted to take a little time out and wish you all a Merry Christmas, considering it's Christmas Eve.

Christmas is alway my favorite holiday because people are always so giving and caring; again, unless you are the customers at my job, then you are ungrateful and just a bunch of Scrooge's who don't care if I walk you to your car with heavy bags, just as long as you have the perfect cold cuts for your anitpasto. I love giving to people, which is why I love going out Christmas shopping and wrapping gifts. I always think about what people are going to think and what embarassing faces they will make when they open it, whethers it's of happiness or of hatred. I like to give, and I am an over-giver. If I see something you would like, I keep buying until my wallet is empty. Case in point, my best friend Michele. I couldn't stop buying for her: it became a problem. I went to a few meetings and everything is better now.

I also like to recieve. I know that sounds super duper awful. I know, gasp in shock.
Judge me all you want.
But, you can't tell me that when someone hands you a pretty package with your name on it wrapped with a shiny bow, you aren't excited as heck to open up that sucker and see what the heck is inside.
Yeah, I know you would be on my side.
Especially if it's cookies or any kind of baked item.
Shout out to my girl Felicia's mom for making some bomb oreo balls. Holla holla!

But, let's not forget what it's really about over here.
Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus.
Yeah, I am going all church on you, so bear with me.
It's all about the amazeballs birth of Jesus and how he saved all of mankind by coming down from Heaven to Earth. I mean, I wouldn't want to leave my streets of gold for people like us, so I give him props.
So, here is to Jesus, for being born and saving my life.
